U.S. Weekly Coal Production Sees Increase

In the coal production sector, a rebound was observed after a week's pause. According to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), coal production for the week ending November 9 increased by 2.7% to reach 9.8 million tons. However, on a year-over-year basis, coal production decreased by 14.1%. East of the Mississippi River, production was recorded at 4.3 million tons, while west of the river, it amounted to 5.6 million tons. Since the beginning of the year, production has dropped by 12.7%, totaling 435.6 million tons.
