Fuel Prices Shift: Gasoline Discounted, Autogas Prices Increased
Fuel prices in Turkey are closely monitored in relation to currency fluctuations and changes in Brent crude oil prices. Recently, a reduction in the price of gasoline per liter was announced. According to the statement, the price of gasoline decreased by 10 kuruş, and the changes will be effective from tonight, which citizens are closely observing.
On the other hand, there is bad news for autogas users. According to a report by NTV, autogas prices have been increased by 71 kuruş. These price changes may necessitate a review of budget balances for many consumers.
Current fuel prices According to the latest changes in the fuel market, the price of gasoline per liter is set at 42 lira 91 kuruş in Istanbul. Diesel prices are trading at a level of 42 lira 79 kuruş. For autogas users, the price per liter is determined to be 25 lira 13 kuruş.
These changes may lead drivers to reassess their fuel purchasing strategies. Fluctuations in fuel prices directly affect many sectors across the country, while citizens are trying to adjust their budgets according to these changes.
How are fuel prices calculated? In Turkey, a specific calculation method is used to determine gasoline and diesel prices. The base price is obtained by adding the excise duty (ÖTV) and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) share to the duty-free refinery price, excluding VAT. This method ensures a transparent and traceable process in determining prices.
In these calculations, variables such as the daily CIF Mediterranean product prices published in the Mediterranean-Italian market and the daily dollar exchange rate are taken into account. As a result, developments in international markets and exchange rate movements can directly affect local fuel prices. This situation requires consumers to monitor price changes more closely.
