The Number of Protested Notes Increases

In October, the number of protested promissory notes increased compared to the previous month. A total of 23,600 promissory notes protested in October 2024 amounted to 5.1 billion TL. In October, the number of notes increased by 14% and the amount increased by 6% compared to the previous month.

By province, the top five provinces with the highest number of protested promissory notes from January to October 2024 were Istanbul, Konya, Ankara, Izmir, and Antalya. In terms of amount, 25% of the protested promissory notes in Turkey were from Istanbul, followed by Izmir with 9%, Ankara with 8%, Konya with 7%, and Antalya with 6%. The provinces with the lowest amount of protested promissory notes were Tunceli, Kilis, and Gümüşhane.
