Bolat: "We Held the Meeting on the Turkey-Iraq General Trade and Contracting Delegation Program with B2B Discussions"

The Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, stated that they held the "Turkey-Iraq General Trade and Contracting Delegation Program and B2B Meetings" meeting. In his statement regarding his visit to Iraq on X, Minister Bolat said the following:

"We are in Basra, the second stop of our visit to Iraq. As part of our visit, we held the 'Turkey-Iraq General Trade and Contracting Delegation Program and B2B Meetings' with the participation of our business community, contracting companies, and delegations.

During the meeting hosted by Basra Governor Asaad Al-Aydani, we discussed new areas of cooperation, the steps that can be taken within the scope of the Development Road Project, and infrastructure-superstructure projects.

Basra, an important trade and energy hub, holds a significant position for Turkey in the region with its Umm Qasr Port, Basra Port, and the starting point of the Development Road Project, the Great Faw Port.

As Turkey, we will continue to increase our bilateral trade volume with Iraq and strengthen our cooperation and role in global trade through new trade routes."
