Competition Authority Approves Zeren Group's Acquisition of TP Petrol

The acquisition of sole control of TP Petrol Dağıtım Anonim Şirketi by Zeren Group Yatırım AŞ through Altınbaş Petrol ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi has been approved. According to a statement from the Competition Authority, the impacts of the transaction on the markets for the sale of automotive and industrial lubricants, as well as every stage of the fuel sector including supply, distribution, storage, and retail sale, were examined in detail. Considering the unique structure of the markets examined and their relationships, the review concluded that there would not be a significant reduction in effective competition. Therefore, the transaction was approved by the Competition Authority with decision number 24-25/1063-453 dated 07.11.2024.
