ESK: No Factors Are Present to Cause Excessive Price Increases in Red Meat
The Meat and Milk Institution (ESK) stated that there are no circumstances that would lead to exorbitant price increases in red meat. ESK informed that a clarification was necessary following news reports indicating an "imminent alarm in meat prices, which have surged suddenly."
The statement provided the following information: "Our institution is taking the necessary measures to ensure supply security and price stability in red meat. As part of our ongoing regulatory efforts aimed at organizing and balancing the meat and milk markets, we continue to supply meat to the market. Our current stocks of red meat and live animals are at levels sufficient to meet market needs, and there are no situations that would lead to exorbitant price increases in red meat. We respectfully urge the public not to heed speculative claims suggesting that meat prices will rise further."
