Bolat: We Will Implement Regulations to Further Strengthen Preferential Trade Among Islamic Countries

Forex - Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated, "We will implement regulations to further strengthen preferential trade among Islamic countries in order to enhance the potential of our Organization of Islamic Cooperation and increase the trade volume among member countries."

In a statement made on his social media account, Bolat said: "Today, within the framework of the 40th Session of the Economic and Commercial Cooperation Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), we gathered with the Ministers of participating countries at the COMCEC Working Breakfast to discuss the economic and commercial relations among OIC member states.

Our primary goal in the COMCEC Meeting is to strengthen our economic and commercial structure and cooperation, and to increase the share of intra-OIC trade above 25%. In this context, as agreed during our meetings, we will implement regulations to further bolster preferential trade among Islamic countries to enhance the potential of our Organization of Islamic Cooperation and increase the trade volume among member countries."
