Russia Boosts Natural Gas Exports to Europe via Pipeline

According to data from the European gas transmission group Entsog and daily reports on gas transit through Ukraine from Gazprom, Russia's natural gas exports to Europe via pipeline in October showed a daily increase of 2.5% to 90.6 million cubic meters. In October 2023, exports were at a daily level of 88.4 million cubic meters.

The data indicates that Gazprom's total natural gas supply to the European Union in October was approximately 2.81 billion cubic meters (bcm), of which 1.5 bcm or 48.3 million cubic meters daily was sent through Turkey.

Gas transit through Ukraine averaged 1.31 billion cubic meters last month, or 42.3 million cubic meters per day.

Gazprom's natural gas exports to Europe this year have reached approximately 26.6 billion cubic meters, marking a 15% increase compared to the previous year.

According to Gazprom's data, in 2022, Russia supplied approximately 63.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe via various routes. This volume decreased by 55.6% in 2023, dropping to 28.3 billion cubic meters.

Annual flows to Europe ranged between 175 billion cubic meters and 180 billion cubic meters in 2018-2019.
