Foreks - Anadolu Sigorta received the "Value-Adding Projects - Environment" category award at the Social Benefit Awards with its "Eyes of the Forest" project, which protects Turkey's forest assets. The Eyes of the Forest project, which focuses on preventing forest fires with a sustainability perspective, was awarded in the "Value-Adding Projects - Environment" category at the Social Benefit Awards initiated by Dünya Gazetesi. The award was presented on Thursday, November 28, at the Hilton Istanbul Maslak by Arzu Çekirge Paksoy, a jury member of the Social Benefit Awards and a social responsibility consultant. Receiving the award on behalf of Anadolu Sigorta were Corporate Communication and Sustainability Coordinator Berna Semiz Ergüntan, Corporate Communication and Sustainability Manager İlker Köklük, and project team members Meltem Okatan Çalışkan and Levent Mumcu.

Leading the insurance sector with socially impactful projects, Anadolu Sigorta is enhancing Turkey's fire fighting capacity through the Eyes of the Forest project, which has been conducted under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's General Directorate of Forestry for two years. Under this project, a total of 10 observation towers continuously monitor approximately 420,000 hectares around the clock. With these 10 towers, a total of 155 fire incidents were identified and intervened in a timely manner across several locations including 29 in Balcalı, 9 in Zorkun, 54 in Antalya, 13 in Istanbul, 8 in Bursa, 6 in Mersin, 12 in Izmir, 18 in Çanakkale, and 6 in Marmaris.

Corporate Communication and Sustainability Coordinator Berna Semiz Ergüntan stated, "As a company that will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year, we will continue to expand the Eyes of the Forest." She further added, "The Eyes of the Forest project, which aims to create value for the future with innovative technologies, focuses on protecting forest assets and increasing individuals' awareness in this area. Through this project, we provide early intervention opportunities against fires that threaten our forests. We also aim to highlight the importance of our forests for sustainable development while taking steps to prevent issues such as desertification and loss of biodiversity. In our recently released documentary 'Eyes of the Forest,' we focused on the work carried out under the project, allowing viewers to get to know the unmanned observation towers built with cutting-edge technology, the brave foresters fighting fires, and the forest villagers. As we celebrate our 100th anniversary next year, we will continue to grow the Eyes of the Forest."
