How Did Borsa Istanbul Start the Week? Which Stocks Stood Out at Opening?
The BIST 100 index started the week down 0.51% at 9,602.31 points.
The BIST 100 ended the previous week with a gain of 1.07% at 9,652 points. It appears that Borsa Istanbul began the new week by pricing in an increase in geopolitical risk. Following the seizure of Aleppo by anti-regime forces, tensions in the region have risen, and developments throughout the week are expected to impact the stock market.
The inflation data for November, which will be announced tomorrow, is another key focus for the market. If the data comes in at or below the expectation of 2%, this could strengthen expectations for a rate cut in December, while a figure above expectations may lead to contrary pricing actions.
Borsa Istanbul started the week with a selling bias, with banks and holding companies being the sectors that began the day with the most decline. Construction, insurance, and sports sectors showed positive differentiation with a 1% increase at the opening.
The five stocks that rose the most in the first hour of the BIST 100 are as follows: FENER PAPIL ENKAI TURSG BRSAN
The stocks that started the week with a decline in the BIST 100 are as follows: KCHOL BTCIM YKBNK YEOTK TAVHL
In general, KRGYO, YESIL, and DARDL stocks were the top gainers at the opening on Borsa Istanbul. Conversely, GUNDG, ETILR, and GIPTA were the stocks that saw the most decline in the first hour.

In international markets, Asian stock exchanges began the week with a buying trend. Meanwhile, US and European futures were moving in the negative territory in the morning hours, while FTSE 100 futures showed a partial rise, positively differentiating from the market.
