In October, 209,401 Vehicles Registered in Traffic

In October, 50.9% of the vehicles registered for traffic were motorcycles, 35.6% were cars, 8.2% were vans, 2.8% were tractors, 1.4% were trucks, 0.7% were minibuses, 0.3% were buses, and 0.1% were special-purpose vehicles. According to the announcement by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of vehicles registered for traffic decreased by 1.4% compared to the previous month.

In October, the number of vehicles registered for traffic increased by 19.1% for cars, 6.3% for special-purpose vehicles, 1.6% for vans, and 0.3% for buses, while it decreased by 18.4% for minibuses, 14.5% for trucks, 11.7% for motorcycles, and 5.6% for tractors, compared to the previous month.

The number of vehicles registered for traffic increased by 13.3% compared to the same month last year. In October, compared to the same month last year, the number of registered motorcycles increased by 31.0%, minibuses by 20.9%, buses by 19.6%, and vans by 10.0%, while it decreased by 18.3% for special-purpose vehicles, 16.9% for trucks, 15.5% for tractors, and 1.1% for cars.

As of the end of October, the total number of vehicles registered for traffic reached 30,883,668. At the end of October, 51.9% of the registered vehicles were cars, 19.8% were motorcycles, 15.1% were vans, 7.3% were tractors, 3.2% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.7% were buses, and 0.3% were special-purpose vehicles.

In October, 1,006,009 vehicles were transferred. Of the vehicles transferred in October, 67.7% were cars, 15.0% were vans, 10.0% were motorcycles, 3.0% were tractors, 1.9% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.5% were buses, and 0.2% were special-purpose vehicles.

In October, 74,636 cars were registered for traffic. Of the cars registered in October, 11.6% were Renault, 10.5% were Volkswagen, 8.0% were Hyundai, 7.7% were Fiat, 5.4% were Toyota, 4.6% were Skoda, 4.5% were Peugeot, 4.4% were Nissan, 4.4% were Opel, 3.7% were Mercedes-Benz, 3.4% were Citroen, 3.2% were BMW, 3.1% were Audi, 2.8% were Dacia, 2.8% were Ford, 2.4% were Honda, 2.3% were Kia, 2.0% were Chery, 1.2% were Seat, 1.2% were MG, and 10.8% were of other brands.

From January to October, 2,170,857 vehicles were registered for traffic. In the January-October period, the number of vehicles registered for traffic increased by 13.7% compared to the same period last year, while the number of vehicles removed from the traffic registry also increased by 6.9% to 26,806. Thus, there was an increase of 2,144,051 vehicles in the total number of vehicles in traffic during the January-October period.

Among the vehicles registered for traffic in the January-October period, 62.6% were gasoline-powered. Of the 821,231 cars registered during this period, 62.6% were gasoline, 15.2% were hybrid, 12.1% were diesel, 9.0% were electric, and 1.1% were LPG-powered. As of the end of October, out of the 16,038,061 vehicles registered for traffic, 34.4% were diesel, 32.2% were LPG, 30.1% were gasoline, 2.2% were hybrid, and 1.0% were electric. The proportion of cars with unknown fuel type was 0.2%.

During the January-October period, the majority of registrations were for cars with a cylinder capacity of 1300 cc and below. Of the 821,231 cars registered during this period, 32.8% had a cylinder capacity of 1300 cc and below, 22.3% were in the range of 1401-1500 cc, 16.2% were 1301-1400 cc, 12.7% were 1501-1600 cc, 6.3% were 1601-2000 cc, and 0.7% were 2001 cc and above.

In the January-October period, 316,985 of the registered cars were gray in color. Of the 821,231 cars registered during this period, 38.6% were gray, 26.0% were white, 13.0% were black, 11.1% were blue, 5.9% were red, 2.9% were green, 0.8% were yellow, 0.8% were orange, 0.5% were brown, and 0.4% were of other colors.
