Şişecam Receives Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation Award from UiPATH

Şişecam, a global player in the glass and chemicals sectors, has once again demonstrated its success in digital transformation with its innovation-focused projects, being awarded the 2024 AI25 Award by UiPath. As one of the leading companies in artificial intelligence and automation, UiPath recognizes 25 companies annually through its AI25 awards, and Şişecam has proven its pioneering position in this field once again.

In the project that earned the award, Şişecam implemented UiPath’s artificial intelligence and automation solutions to improve document management in recruitment processes, enhance classification accuracy, and maximize efficiency. Utilizing UiPath's "Document Understanding" and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, over 50,000 documents prepared in 12 different languages were classified within the OpenText system in structured, semi-structured, and unstructured formats. This automation increased Şişecam's daily document classification capacity by six times.

The automation project that achieved an 87.5% increase in document management efficiency enabled employees to focus on more strategic tasks by delegating routine work to artificial intelligence. By minimizing errors and data inconsistencies caused by manual processes, the system provides reliable and compliant data management while also offering effective solutions for legal and sectoral compliance.
