Renewal Deadline for Old-Style Driver's Licenses Extended to July 31, 2025

The renewal period for old-type driver's licenses has been extended until July 31, 2025. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that they have extended the renewal period for old-type driver's licenses. Yerlikaya continued: "According to Temporary Article 10 of the Traffic Regulation, the period set for the renewal of old-type driver's licenses has been extended until July 31, 2025, considering the current conditions and the needs of our citizens. Currently, there are 5,413,148 old-type driver's licenses in existence. To prevent possible congestion at population offices and healthcare institutions where health reports are issued, and to ensure that our citizens can complete their processes without experiencing any inconvenience, please renew your old driver's licenses by the end of the extended period."
