Sabancı Holding: Growing with Kordsa, Çimsa, and Enerjisa

Foreks - Sabancı Holding, in 2022, began developing the 272 MW Cutlass II solar power plant in Texas, following consecutive purchases in the energy sector. In 2023, the Holding's U.S.-based company, Sabancı Renewables Inc., acquired 100% of the shares of U.S.-based Oriana Solar LLC last year.

According to Kerim Ülker, Oriana Solar LLC holds licenses for a 232 MW solar power plant and a 60 MW energy storage facility in Texas, which is expected to become operational in the second quarter of 2024. With these two investments, Sabancı Group’s renewable energy portfolio in the U.S. will exceed 500 MW, with plans to double this capacity in a short period.
