General Elections to be Held in Ireland on Friday, November 29th
Forex - Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris approved the request for the dissolution of parliament (Dail) on Friday, announcing that general elections would be held at the end of November. In a brief speech in Dublin, Harris thanked his colleagues in the center-right Fine Gael party, as well as coalition partners Fianna Fail and the Greens, while stating that they "do not agree on everything." Wishing "good luck" to all candidates, Harris called for a safe and respectful campaign and invited all citizens to vote on November 29. He addressed the public with the words, "Speak. This is how this country works; we listen this way. We act on your behalf in this manner."
