Migros GES Project Receives "Positive Environmental Impact Assessment" Decision
The "Positive Environmental Impact Assessment" decision has been given regarding the Migros GES project to be carried out by Migros in Malatya.
In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection, the following information was provided:
"The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report submitted to our Ministry regarding the MIGROS GES (15.9159 MWm/15.9159 MWp/14.190 MWe project planned by MIGROS TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ on Parcel 151, Block 9, with an EIA Area of 16.279077 ha within the boundaries of 16.829843 ha in the Yazihan district of Malatya province) has been examined and assessed by the EIA Report Review and Evaluation Commission. In accordance with Article 14 of the EIA Regulation, taking into consideration the Commission's work and the public's opinions, a 'Positive Environmental Impact Assessment' Decision has been granted by our Ministry; it is required for the decision to be announced to the public by the Malatya Governorship (Department of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change). Additionally, compliance with the provisions of the relevant regulations arising from the Environmental Law No. 2872 concerning the Final EIA Report and the issues mentioned in its annexes is necessary, and the necessary permits must be obtained from the relevant institutions/organizations in accordance with the current legislation."
