Qatar Central Bank Cuts Interest Rate by 30 Basis Points

Forex - The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has reduced the policy interest rate by 30 basis points. According to a statement from the QCB, the benchmark repo rate has been lowered from 5.45% to 5.15%. The QCB has also cut the lending interest rate from 5.70% to 5.40% and the deposit interest rate from 5.20% to 4.90%. The decision by the Qatar Central Bank follows a 25 basis point reduction made by the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed).
