China's Central Bank Halts Gold Purchases for Six Months

According to data from the People's Bank of China, China's gold reserves reached 72.8 million troy ounces at the end of October and remained unchanged for the sixth month. The value of China's gold reserves increased from $191.47 billion at the end of September to $199.06 billion at the end of last month.
