Turkcell/Koç: We Prioritize Boosting Local Production
The 2024 Supplier Summit, organized by Turkcell (IS: TCELL) to support local and innovative technologies, took place in Istanbul. The summit emphasized the goal of developing the ecosystem in infrastructure, software, and technology products, while successful suppliers were recognized. In his speech at the summit, Turkcell General Manager Dr. Ali Taha Koç stated, "We place great importance on increasing the local content ratio in infrastructure projects and new product development processes. Our annual Supplier Summit not only supports SMEs and start-ups, which play a significant role in the technology ecosystem but also provides a valuable opportunity to share Turkcell’s vision and strategies."
Turkey's technology leader Turkcell held its annual Supplier Summit to create a strong collaboration in the ecosystem by supporting local and innovative technologies. With the participation of 170 supplier companies, the summit served to communicate Turkcell's vision and strategies to its business partners, while awards were presented to successful firms under the "Supplier-Oriented Innovation and Locality Programs."
"We value increasing localization" In his speech at the summit, Turkcell General Manager Dr. Ali Taha Koç highlighted the importance of increasing the localization ratio in the development of local technologies and infrastructure projects. Koç said, "Our main motivation at this summit is to contribute to the establishment of a suitable ecosystem for developing innovative and efficient projects. Additionally, we aim to pave the way for our local suppliers to develop technologies that will give Turkcell a competitive advantage. We also attach great importance to increasing the localization ratio in infrastructure work and newly developed products. The annual Supplier Summit not only supports SMEs and start-ups that play a key role in the technology ecosystem but also presents an important opportunity to convey Turkcell’s vision and strategies."

Achieving common goals with our supplier ecosystem creates a strong foundation for sustainable growth." Durdu noted that the summit created a suitable platform to explore technologies that will shape business trends and to implement innovative solutions that provide a competitive advantage.
