Adecco's Share Price Plummets to a 28-Year Low
Forexl - Swiss personnel, shares of the staffing company Adecco Group fell to their lowest level in 28 years, following third-quarter results that came in below analysts' expectations.
Adecco shares dropped by 7% to CHF 25.10, reaching levels last seen in 1996. The stock has lost approximately 39% of its value since the beginning of the year.
The company reported that net profit for the third quarter declined to €99 million from €103 million in the same quarter last year, while revenue decreased by 4% to €5.70 billion.
Excluding one-off items, earnings before interest, tax, and depreciation (EBITDA) fell by 21% to €186 million.
Analysts had expected adjusted EBITDA to be €192 million and a 3% decline in organic revenue, according to consensus forecasts compiled by the company.
