How Did BIST 100 Start the Day? Which Stocks Rose the Most at Opening?

The BIST 100 index began the day with an increase of 0.59% at 8,714.65 points.

Following the positive opening, the BIST 100 reversed course due to selling activity in the early trading hours. In the first hour, the index fell by nearly half a point and dropped to the 8,620 point range. The BIST 100 index closed down 2.49% yesterday at 8,663.88 points. In dollar terms, the index is hovering around 250 dollars. During yesterday's trading, the banking sector, which declined by 4.83%, was among the leading sectors that pulled the index down. Only 10 stocks gained value in the BIST 100 yesterday, while 90 stocks fell. The daily trading volume of the index was close to 67.9 billion TL, accounting for 73.96% of the total volume.

In Borsa Istanbul, the transportation, tourism, and metal goods sectors started the day with buying interest. Meanwhile, food, information technology, and electricity were the sectors that saw the most significant declines at the outset. The banking sector, which experienced sharp losses yesterday, had a partial decline of 0.2% at the opening.

In the general Borsa Istanbul market, KRGYO, YAYLA, and BAKAB started the day at their ceiling price. TSGYO, SUNTK, and CCOLA stocks were the most significant decliners at the opening.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL remained stable at 34.35, while the euro/TL saw a slight increase of 0.1%, trading at 37.44. Gram gold started positively with a flat opening at 3,024 TL.

In global markets, the rise of Asian indices continued today. European and U.S. indices moved in a seller-dominated manner yesterday, while futures indices were showing positive movement in the morning hours.
