Producer Prices of Agricultural Products Increased by 5.03% in October

In October 2024, the Producer Price Index (PPI) for Agriculture - Agriculture-UE (2020=100) saw an increase of 5.03% compared to the previous month, a 26.32% increase compared to December of the previous year, a 35.46% increase compared to the same month of the previous year, and a 49.55% increase based on twelve-month averages.

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), in terms of sectors compared to the previous month, there was a 5.34% increase in agricultural and hunting products and related services, a 1.56% decrease in forestry products and related services, and a 2.23% increase in fish and other fishing products; aquatic products; and support services for fishing. Among the main groups compared to the previous month, there was a 13.27% increase in annual (non-perennial) plant products, a 1.82% increase in perennial (long-lived) plant products, and a 0.24% increase in live animals and animal products.

The subgroup with the highest annual change was citrus fruits, with an increase of 185.25%, while the subgroup with the highest monthly change was also citrus fruits, with an increase of 85.17%.
