Borsa Istanbul Starts the Last Trading Day of the Week on a Positive Note: Which Stocks Stood Out at Opening?

The BIST 100 index started the day with a 0.29% increase at 9,447.70 points.

The BIST 100 rose by 1.29% in yesterday’s transactions, closing the day at 9,420.42 points. The BIST 100 reached a high of 9,437.67 points during the day, and in dollar terms, it increased to the $274 range. Yesterday, 85 stocks in the BIST 100 rose, while 15 declined. The daily trading volume of the index was 88.8 billion TL, which accounted for approximately 76% of the total volume.

The BIST 100 maintained a positive outlook in the early sessions, with the insurance, transportation, and tourism sectors starting the day with the highest gains. The most rising stocks yesterday, in the sports sector, started the day in the negative. Banks and holding sectors remained stable in the first hour. The stocks that experienced the highest increases across Borsa Istanbul were IMASM, BRMEN, and VKFYO. Meanwhile, DMSAS, KERVN, and YONGA saw the largest decreases at the start of the day.

In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL is trading at 34.42, up by 0.25% this morning. The euro/TL is close to a half-point increase at 36.38, and gram gold is stable at 2,836 TL.

In the foreign currency market, Asian indices are preparing to close the week with a mixed outlook. Yesterday, European indices closed positively, while U.S. indices remained in the negative. In the morning hours, U.S. futures continued to show a selling trend, while European futures were also observed to be moving in the negative.
