Goldman Sachs Anticipates 50 Basis Point Rate Cut from Bank of Canada
Goldman Sachs has raised its forecast for a rate cut expected at the Bank of Canada's December meeting. Previously anticipating a 25 basis point cut for the December meeting, Goldman Sachs has increased this expectation to 50 basis points. Additionally, Goldman Sachs has revised its expectation for the Bank of Canada to lower rates to 2.25% by June 2025, down from a previous forecast of 2.50%.
