Foreks - ASELSAN, the leader in game-changing technologies, celebrates its 49th anniversary

ASELSAN, which showcases its groundbreaking technologies among the world's largest defense industry companies, is celebrating its 49th anniversary. It was established 49 years ago today, on November 14, 1975, in response to the embargoes imposed on Turkey following the Cyprus Peace Operation. On November 14, the ASELSAN delegation visited Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to mark the occasion of its 49th founding anniversary. The ASELSAN delegation, headed by General Manager Ahmet Akyol, proceeded along the Lion Road to Atatürk's mausoleum. After laying a wreath at the mausoleum, the ASELSAN delegation paid their respects with a moment of silence and recited the National Anthem. During the visit to Anıtkabir, the ASELSAN delegation wore badges specially designed for the 49th anniversary. Following the ceremony at Atatürk's mausoleum, General Manager Akyol moved on to the Misak-ı Milli Tower and signed the Anıtkabir Honor Book.

Akyol wrote the following in the Honor Book: "Esteemed Atatürk, we are filled with excitement as we celebrate the 49th anniversary of ASELSAN. Established to meet the communication needs of our security forces through local production, ASELSAN has become one of our country's pride today. ASELSAN's technologies are present in every platform produced in Turkey, from the depths of the seas to the far reaches of space.

"We will continue to grow" The achievements of ASELSAN, the apple of our nation's eye, are certainly not limited to Turkey. We have successfully exported to 90 different countries to date. We have become the 42nd largest defense industry company in the world. Last year, we managed to be among the 10 fastest-growing defense industry companies globally. Of course, we will not stop here; we will pursue our goals to transform ASELSAN into a globally competitive company in every sense. We are moving forward with firm steps towards our goal of being one of the top 30 defense industry companies in the world by the end of 2030.

To achieve this ambitious goal, we will continue to produce the best in our field, develop game-changing technologies, and maintain export-focused growth. ASELSAN is a living example of what a nation that trusts itself, its people, and its youth can accomplish. The values that led the national struggle to success are also the values of ASELSAN. The ASELSAN family, which exceeds 11,000 members, is determined to grow our company and bring greater pride to our nation.

As we approach our 50th anniversary, we will continue to make our nation smile with new successes. We will armor the republic you established with iron nets using the Steel Dome. We will work harder and produce more to bring the republic you entrusted to us to its rightful place in the world. May your spirit rest in peace."

Step by step towards the 2030 goals For 49 years, ASELSAN has provided Turkey with security in technology and was established in 1975 in response to embargoes to meet the communication needs of the Turkish Armed Forces with national resources. ASELSAN, which is the largest defense electronics company in Turkey, is continuously raising its success graph as a joint-stock company affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV). For 49 years, ASELSAN has developed cutting-edge technologies with game-changing impacts across various fields, from the depths of the seas to outer space. Ranked 42nd among the world's top 100 defense industry companies, ASELSAN aims to enter the ranks of the largest 30 companies globally by 2030. Aligning with the AselsaneXt vision, ASELSAN has become a global brand that produces the best products in its field, develops game-changing technologies, and focuses on export growth, contributing to reducing our country’s dependency on foreign advanced technology. The most significant strength of ASELSAN lies in its qualified workforce, with a majority of its over 11,000 employees comprising engineers.
