Mehmet Ertaş Appointed as the General Director of Marmarabirlik
Foreks - A change of leadership occurred at Marmarabirlik with the retirement of the General Manager. Mehmet Ertaş, who started his career as an assistant inspector at Marmarabirlik in 2007, has been appointed to the position of General Manager.
Assuming his duties on November 1, 2024, Ertaş received his first congratulations from Marmarabirlik's Board Chairman, Hidamet Asa. Chairman Asa expressed his wishes for success in Ertaş's new role, stating, “It is our greatest desire to take even stronger steps together in this new era. We have no doubt that Mehmet Ertaş, with whom we have worked in harmony for a considerable time at our institution, will also succeed in the General Manager role. I believe that Ertaş, who has long served in various positions and knows Marmarabirlik well, will make significant contributions to the organization.”
Who is Mehmet Ertaş?
Mehmet Ertaş graduated from Uludağ University’s Department of Business Administration in 2004 and obtained a Master’s degree from the Department of Business Administration at Uludağ University’s Social Sciences Institute. Ertaş began his career at Marmarabirlik as an Assistant Inspector in 2007 and received the title of Inspector in 2010. Since 2014, he has worked as the Accounting and Finance Manager. Ertaş has been serving as the Deputy General Manager at Marmarabirlik since 2017 and has also held the position of Chairman of the Board at Marmarabirlik Agricultural Products Licensed Warehousing Inc. for 12 years.
Since 2010, Mehmet Ertaş has also represented our country as a member of the Advisory Committee at the International Olive Council (IOC), which is headquartered in Spain, in his capacity as a producer representative.
