BIST 100 Starts the Day with a Decline: Which Stocks Stand Out at Opening?

The BIST 100 index started the day with a decline of 0.33%, at 9,196.02 points.

The BIST 100 index recorded a decrease of 0.54% in yesterday’s transactions, closing the day at 9,226.86 points. Thus, it was observed that the index fell below 270 dollars in dollar terms. In the BIST 100 yesterday, 30 stocks gained value while 69 stocks declined. The daily trading volume of the index was 84.7 billion TL, constituting 75.34% of the total volume.

As the decline trend continued during the first hour in Borsa Istanbul, the sports and food sectors started the day in positive territory. The sectors that recorded the most significant declines in initial transactions were communication, banking, and cement.

Meanwhile, the stocks that started the day with a decrease in the BIST 100 included: YEOTK ADEL CWENE MAVI AKSEN

Across Borsa Istanbul, HATSN, KUTPO, and PATEK were recognized as the highest rising stocks at the opening. DURDO, ARTMS, and KERVN stocks dropped to the lowest price, becoming the biggest losers in the first hour.

In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL started the day with a partial increase of 0.1%, at 34.38. Euro/TL remained flat at around 36.5, while gram gold found buyers at 2,881 TL with a rise of 0.3%.

Abroad, Asian markets were preparing for a mixed closing, with slight increases observed in Chinese indices. In yesterday's transactions, European and US indices followed a negative trend. It was also noted that US and European futures were trading negatively in the morning hours.
